Inspiring Stories of Faith in Biblical-Themed Books

Hi! Welcome to The Enoch Chronicles

fm=f_11883

It may be that you have chanced upon one of the few websites of a Christian historical fiction author willing to admit his faith and write about it in a fictional setting. I have been reading and studying the Bible for well over two decades. And I must admit that I know very little about it, even after all my studies.

It seems the more I learn, the more I find I don’t know. This is the nature of the Kingdom; to spur one on to seek God, not just knowledge or favor.

I have always wanted to be a writer. I once heard on the alien station (what I call Coast-to-Coast) an interview with an author. He was asked, “What do writers do?” And he replied, “They write.” So I took that to heart. And I wrote.

The results are these first six books in a series I call: “The Enoch Chronicles.” The stories of what Enoch has been doing over the last 5,000 years since God took him up to heaven, one of only two men (the other being the prophet Elijah, who was taken up to heaven on a chariot of fire) to not see death like all other men throughout history.

It has been difficult to write a biblical fiction series, having to maintain congruity with the Bible and yet tell a story that would be entertaining. I decided to write about anti-heroes, men and women whom society deems to be the worst and worthless and irredeemable.

It is these types of men and women that God reaches out and saves to the uttermost. It is God that empowers them and guides them because they have come to the end of themselves, and their last resort is God himself. They know that the power to do is not in themselves.

As it turns out, the characters of each book, and I am blessed enough to have published both Christian fiction paperbacks and Christian fiction e-books, can stand alone. Each story, I have written to be captivating and to hold your attention, as well as be entertaining.

I have tried to tell a good story, a story that will stretch your knowledge of God and the Bible, as well as your imagination. For that is what good fiction is: fact taken above and beyond reality into an imagined reality of mind and heart, if only for a moment.
